Garlands of old roses connect, in a cleverly arranged geometric composition, round and vertical cartridges decorated with gold or flowers such as nasturtiums, bindweeds or hydrangeas. This very balanced set highlights in a central cartridge a woven wicker basket full of peaches, grapes and roses blooming like a still life.
Designed at the time by four hands, by Jean Chauvaux, major painter in Sèvres, active between 1764 and 1800 and Nicolas Sinsson, active from 1773 to 1795, this very delicate cup is enhanced by an exquisite powder pink.
Identical reissue of this cup produced by the Manufacture de Sèvres around 1780.
