In 1983 Raynaud works with Seta Aubusson to produce 250 copies of three motifs taken from Jean Cocteau's ceramic universe on dishes in a palepink clay body. Thirty-five years later, still fascinated by the ceramicist, Raynaud is presenting a new collection directly inspired by the works created by Jean Cocteau in the 1950s. Raynaud is reinterpreting the motifs of the original plates and using them on fine Limoges porcelain. An elegant collection, based on the matt pastel backgrounds with subtle hues so dear to Cocteau, which contrast with the fine lines of the motif.
These coffee cups lacquered with mirror platinum reveal anamorphic quotations from the poet written in reverse on the saucers. A nod to the dreamy poet's sense of fun and his influence on the surrealist movement.
